If I can do anything to help you prevent future frustrations, stay away from GE appliances at all cost. I have a 4 year old home, furnished 100% GE. All have failed, except the dishwasher. Whoever the engineer for the dishwasher is, should engineer the entire line. I had a repairman tell me on my last call that he won't ruin his reputation working on GE's junk. He actually recommended throwing it in a ditch.

So far I'm loving my GE side-by-side refrigerator. Largest freezer capacity of around ~10 cubic feet, which was hard to find; many home refrigerators now accommodate only 8 cubic feet or less freezer space. I purchased it in stainless steel though I wanted white - but in 2024 white appliances are increasingly rare and when you can find them they cost up to $500 more for the finish! Seems to maintain appropriate inside temperatures. Good storage space in the fridge side especially after I added a separate cold cuts drawer, something this unit doesn't have.

This fridge was included when I bought my house. No room, horribly expensive water filters, and interior lighting doesn't last, and GE want $80 for a light that isn't much more than a few pennies worth of LEDs. I'll buy something else and pass this junk to someone else.

We™™ve had a small apartment-size frig for years and with a recent move, upgraded to this fabulous refrigerator! Seriously, there is so much space, especially the freezer. Deep shelf space in both the frig and freezer. Love the ice maker/water dispenser™¦ the crushed ice is so worth it. Would recommend this refrigerator!

The tray where ice and water is dispensed drips water down the front of the refrigerator and onto floor. Ice maker stopped working after two weeks. Hope the warranty does what it says it will! Arrived with two scratches on the front door. Waited from august to October then to November then December to be told it took too long and this order was no longer available. Not happy with this product or company.

Refrigerator is great. I bought this model because it is very similar to the one this replaced. The old one was 20 plus years so figured why switch now. The new frig is the same cubic footage but laid out a little differently. Personally I preferred on old lay out, but I am getting used to the new layout

I just purchased and installed my new GE side by side refrigerator on Friday, 11/19/21. Everything I had in my old fridge fits in the GE with lots of room to spare. Factory set temps for the freezer and fridge were reached in less than 24 hours. Very nice unit.

The fridge seems OK... but to add a microchip to the filters and then require OEM GE Filters should be criminal. Maybe you wouldn't have to charge $50 a filter if you didn't have microchips in them. This is legitimately one of the scummiest things I've ever seen... and I went through Keuriggate.

Disappointed that the freezer door does not shut unless you push it quite firmly. I am told this is just how it is. Never had this problem with any previous fridge freezers.

We needed to replace my mother™™s refrigerator and this model fit perfectly. Most side by side models are too tall for older homes. We are pleased with our purchase. The manager at Vinton Appliance Center was very knowledgeable. It was a welcome change from box stores.

This refrigerator is easy to keep clean inside and out. It will hold a magnet or two on the front. It seems colder than my other one, but it is set at factory setting which is great. It was on sale in a package deal, so we have a new range and dish washer. All work really well.

Basic, no frills refrigerator. Good layout inside. Small door shelf in fridge is poorly located near the bottom of the door, hidden under a larger door shelf - difficult to proper use it. Light fixture is pretty large considering it is LED lights which minimize size. Ice maker is relativity slow in making ice, but does a good enough job. Water dispenser drips a drop or two, so make sure to hold the glass under for a couple of seconds after water has been dispensed. Freezer drawer is weak and can't hold a lot of weight.

Not happy with the water dispenser in the door. Water dispenses very slow. A trickle at the most. Light switch for the refrigerator door sticks and light won't turn on when you open the door. I have to wiggle the switch to get the light to come on.

We have had this fridge for almost a year now and I love it! We have had no problems with it or any complaints. I was concerned about a side by side because they used to be so limited in capacity and shelf size. This one has put those concerns to rest. The in door ice and water are such a huge convenience and we have never has a single issue with ice getting stuck. Adjustable shelves and drawers are nice and sturdy. Highly recommend!

I have had the fridge for about one month now and overall am very happy with it. I had a GE Profile fridge previous to this one that lasted 20 years - hopefully this one will too. Two things that I am disappointed with: less room in the freezer area, but I will adjust and second the light in the refrigerator is very awkward and I do not know why they would change the design. The old one did not interfere with the storage space at all and the new one is a large dome that takes away space in the top center of the fridge. Other than that I am very pleases so far. Love the controls - especially the ability to set and see what the temps are.
