I have replaced the shocks and the tub the washer still walks on the start of the rinse cycle also I can never talk to a real person. one exception she referred me to Paul's for repairs I have had to sue Paul's and I received the judgment and recovered my funds is there any one I can talk to at Maytag

While this machine has washed many loads for my family, after 8 years it™€™s beyond repair. I have had the extension rods replaced however it continues to make loud noises on the spin cycle. The machines made today don™€™t compare to the iconic Maytag machine but back then. I purchased this machine with thoughts of it last minimum 15 years. Sorry I have to buy another machine so soon

The washing machine occasionally, when in its cycle it will not proceed; typically at the rinse cylce. It will fill the tub with water to the appropriate level & then just sit there without agitating or spinning the water out. We must then cancel the cycle manually and re-rinse the load, wasting precious water! We have paid to have trusted appliance serviceman check out the machine & he could not find anything wrong with the washing machine. We are frustrated & have made efforts to contact Whirlpool/Maytag by phone & get more frustrated with your automated phone system! Needles to say, we will not be purchasing more Whirlpool/Maytag products in the future and have shared our experience with family, friends, coworkers & acquaintances whenever the opportunity arises!

I have had this washer for 5 years. It has preformed without any malfunctions. Pleased but there are some issues. There is no laundry detergent dispenser. So a learning curve. If one just pours in soap it can stain the clothes. So I have learned to dilute the soap with water before adding. Other issues due to high spin rate, clothes get quite twisted. Also have to be careful with loading as it gets out of balance quite easily.

We are quite happy with our choice of this Maytag top loader. We opted for the model with an agitator. Although it took a bit getting used to the auto water level, the clothes come out clean. I also liked that the controls are relatively simple and hope that not having a digital display adds to longevity. The purchase through Costco added value with ease of delivery, hook-up, and removal of the old washer. Costco automatically added a 2nd year of warranty.

This washer worked well for 2.5 years, then the electronics failed. The washer started turning on by itself and running the motor. We had to put an extension/power cord on and turn it off manually when not in use. When it worked correctly, it worked well. I would not recommend this washer be purchased due to these potential conditions.

My main disappointment with this machine is that sheets frequently, very frequently, come out twisted and tangled together and full of water.. We use the bulky/sheets and deep water wash settings. Can barely lift the water filled sheets out to untangle and then use drain and spin to complete the cycle.

I don't like writing negative reviews, but I am not happy with this machine at all. The autosense feature does not work for the most part. I end up having to use the drain & spin mode to get the exvedd water out. My clothes have to be rewashed often, even after stains have been pretreated. Our clothes get random, permanent markings/stains on them. I was really never happy with it's performance. I have actually told many people to stay away from this model

I use the deep fill on every wash because when the washer spins it sounds like a plane taking off and will not spin without moving items.
