We are 3 houses into our marriage and for some reason I really never heard of Speed Queen. We have had Kenmore, GE, LG, and Samsung - some we left in the house we sold when we moved to the next place (active duty Military) while others broke 5-8 years in. So, I'm at a place in life where I went into this washer dryer purchase putting reliability, performance and durability above all other factors. I just started researching "the best" compassion videos, testimonials, went to showrooms, etc. everything led to soled queen. Why didn't I ever hear of them!? I mean, even if you don't want to sell at a big box store… you can still run a commercial can't you Speed Queen??
Anyway, I'm blown away. Clean isn't even the word. I washed things that my previous washer had an opportunity to clean and it failed too. I'm pulling things out of here that look new! I love them.
Specifically, the dryer dries. I washed and dried 22 king size pillows (2 at a time) and about 14 sets of sheets the week I got these babies. They did not disappoint. I put the setting on "dry" bs "near dry" and my stuff comes out DRY.
ITS ALSO FAST, quiet, and big.

I am really shocked by the difference in clean I notice! We had to replace an old set and figured we would buy American and I can safely say I'll never buy another brand as long as I live!

Washing machine has not worked since it was delivered. Called warranty number but it took 8 days for repairman to come to house. He said the motor on drain is defective and he said he needs to order parts to fix machine.

Works great. Particularly the "pet" setting. We have always had a problem with pet hair staying on clothing after washing and drying. With the "pet" setting, after the clothes are dry you run the setting for a brief cycle and, ta-da, no more pet hair on anything!!! Awesome!

I have had my dryer less than 3 months. I'm not happy. I have to dry everything on high. I have to put high heat and I extra dry up to 2 times and sometimes 3. I have never had a problem with a brand new product

Delivered 5/24. Used one time and noticed issue with the control panel. Selling dealer replaced the control panel on 6/1. Used 2 times and control panel defective again. Repair man scheduled to come out on 6/27. Issue with washer as well. Very disappointed!

The drive is one of the best I have used in years. It has a ton of settings but they are very handy once you get used to them and the capacity is as good as they come right now. Very well made and quiet operating also very pleased at this point and drying times are a good 20% less then others.

I wish I would have purchased the medium priced dryer, not this digital one. It has way too many options, that I will probably never use. However, I wanted the washer and dryer to match. Personally, if my washer and dryer were in a basement I would just get any brand dryer. I typically do just medium loads of laundry. When I do darks, if I do timed dry 45 minutes on medium heat, my clothes are dry. If I dry 2 bath towels, 2 dish clothes, 2 dish towels, 2 men's undershirts socks and underwear, I do timed dry for 45 minutes on high. They are never dry, the towels are always damp as well as the undershirts. I need to dry them separately for another approximately 8 minutes. So, I am not impressed.
Also, after spending that much money for the washer and dryer I find it insulting that it came with no manual. You must request one and they graciously send you one, come on, they could do better!
The men who installed our appliances were fantastic! Extremely thorough, friendly, knowledgeable and professional.

We were so glad we went to an authorized dealer vs. a big box store. Our sales rep showed us a few products, but none met all of our goals. I asked him what he used in his home; he said Speed Queen. Extremely durable and heavy duty, dries well. It's not as fancy as some of the other brands, but all other brands can't compete with the warranty and the workmanship in this brand. No one builds washer and dryer's like SpeedQueen.

It has an extremely large capacity and is very quiet. It has taken me a while to find the best timing for drying various things, but it's far better than our old dryer! The only problem we've had is with anything that has any "hanging" strings - they get caught on something and the item gets twisted and damaged. It's only happened to a few washcloths so far, so not the worst thing ever.
